After the success of the mass contact campaign, BJP is going to take forward its programs through the elected Panchayat representatives in view of the upcoming elections. In an informal conversation with journalists at the party headquarters, State President Mahendra Bhatt clarified the party’s stand on the issues of Congress’s doubt on the implementation of UCC, Congress’ dharna on Rahul’s High Court decision and smart city works. The state president told that with a view to give election responsibility, dialogue will be held in different phases with the district panchayat, block and gram panchayat representatives. He informed that after the review meeting of the public relations campaign held in Delhi, the party is going to organize programs up to the panchayat level in the next phase. Now all the elected public representatives of the rural areas in the state are also going to be engaged in the upcoming programs of the organization. In this sequence, first of all, a dialogue meeting will be held with all the district panchayat presidents and vice-presidents in Haryana. After that a dialogue meeting will be held with all the 195 district panchayat members of the state at the Garhwal and Kumaon level, then with the area panchayat heads and members and finally with the gram panchayat representatives.
Congress in favor of bringing UCC or engaging
In the meantime, countering the apprehension of the Congress that the central government will bring UCC first from the state, the journalists said, first of all they should clarify whether they want to bring UCC or want to entangle it. As far as the question is concerned, Uttarakhand should take the initiative to implement it or the Government of India, the ultimate goal is to establish a uniform law for the people of the state and the countrymen. He clarified that Devbhoomi is the most suitable state to draft this law because of its diversity of religions, tribes and social classes. And if the Central Government also moves forward on this, then the findings of the State Draft Committee are going to prove very beneficial.
Congress protest against High Court on Rahul, trying to put pressure on the courts
Bhatt termed Rahul Gandhi’s announcement of sitting on dharna against Gujarat High Court’s decision as an attempt to put pressure on the court. He said, the learned judges of the lower court and the High Court have given the decision only after hearing the arguments of both the sides. Now in such a situation, doing political agitation against the judicial process is an attempt to directly influence the decisions. Because Rahul Gandhi habitually commits such acts and cases are pending against him in other matters as well. Such agitation by the Congress party clearly shows that they want to influence the process in all these cases as well. He said, this is not the first case in which a politician has been punished, it is another matter that only two such cases have come to the fore at this level when the decisions of the court were opposed. Second now in the time of Rahul Gandhi.
Government is serious about the work of smart city
Answering the question asked about Smart City, the State President said, the Chief Minister and the Urban Development Minister are working very seriously on this subject. The government is constantly trying to get the development works done on time and to solve the problems of the general public. Soon this project is going to be reviewed after which better results will be visible to everyone.
