A woman fainted after seeing the vigilance team entering the house to investigate electricity theft. Seeing the woman falling, the vigilance team fled from the spot. In a hurry, the family members of the woman took her to the hospital, where the doctors declared her brought dead. The case pertains to Kakatola area of Baradari police station area of Bareilly district. There is a lot of anger among the people of the area after the accident. People say that the Vigilance team had assaulted the woman on the charge of theft of electricity, due to which she died. In fact, Sarwar Jahan, 45-year-old wife of Kakatola resident Shahim Khan, lived with her 16-year-old daughter Gulroj alias Maheen. On Monday morning suddenly the Vigilance team came to Sarwar Jahan’s house and knocked on the door. When Sarwar came and opened the door, three vigilance teams hurriedly entered inside. Sarwar got scared seeing the people and fainted and fell there. Sarwar died on the spot as soon as he fell. The husband has died seven years ago. The woman’s adopted daughter Gulroj Mahin is 14 years old. There is no source of income for the family.
Sarwar Jahan’s Badaun resident sister used to send him money for his expenses. The woman was a heart patient. When the team knocked on the door, the daughter saw from the terrace and informed the mother present inside the house. He was so shocked that he died. The team was accused of not even helping the woman when her condition deteriorated.
After the incident, CO III Ashish Pratap Singh and Baradari police station in-charge Abhishek Singh inspected. After the death of the woman, her daughter is in bad condition by crying.
Blood was coming out of the woman’s head, the vigilance team ran away in panic
Seeing blood coming out of the woman’s head, the vigilance team got upset from the spot. Seeing the condition of the woman, the family members created a ruckus. Police arrived on the information of the ruckus, took the dead body of the woman and sent it for postmortem. The police pacified the family members by persuading them. The family members of Sarwar Jahan have alleged that the Vigilance team pushed him, due to which he died. The family members have given a complaint letter to file a case against the vigilance team. The police is probing the whole matter.

Actually, the Vigilance team goes to the houses in the morning and suddenly knocks on the door. As soon as people open the door, it enters the house and calls for action against those who steal electricity illegally. Seeing the team early in the morning, people are unable to understand whether it is a vigilance team or a thief-miscreant. This is why people get scared.
Police informed about the incident
While giving the information, Station Baradari in-charge Abhishek Kumar Singh said that a woman has died. The family members have accused the Vigilance team. The entire matter is being investigated. Action will be taken after investigation.
