Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Beware of those selling lemon and chillies and asking for Shani Daan! 3 henchmen of Chimti gang arrested, used to steal from closed houses and abscond

The police have arrested 3 members of the interstate tweezers gang. The three accused have been arrested by Raipur Police and SOG team from Souda Saroli Road. These accused had carried out 4 major theft incidents in Haridwar and other places. Gold ornaments worth about Rs 12 lakh have been recovered from the possession of the accused. 12 cases of theft are also registered against the members of the gang.

In fact, on May 15, Rajendra Singh of Soda Saroli lodged a complaint with the police. In which he had told that on May 13, he had gone to his in-laws Ranipokhari with his family. When he returned on May 14, the lock of the house was found broken. Seeing whom his senses flew away. After this, when he entered the room, the locker of the cupboard was found broken. Cash and jewelery were also missing from the cupboard. After which he complained to the police.

On the other hand, on June 22, Devki Devi, a resident of Mount View Colony of Nathuwala Dhang, also lodged a complaint of theft with the police. In the complaint, she has said that she had gone to her daughter’s house in Mianwala on June 20 and returned to her home on June 21. When she reached home, someone had stolen her cash and gold ornaments.

Police searched 95 CCTV footage

At the same time, four different police teams were formed to arrest the accused. The team scanned about 95 CCTV footage within a radius of 5 kilometers from around the spot. In a CCTV footage near the spot, 4 people were seen going inside the house. Meanwhile, the police got information from the informer that the gang is soon planning to carry out the incident again in Dehradun.

To arrest the gang, the Raipur police station deployed three police teams at the border Balawala, Thano and Maharana Pratap Chowk entering Raipur. In order to repeat the gang incident, Pathri walked from Haridwar via Bhaniyawala-Jollygrant and reached Soda Saroli Raipur on the way to Thano. Where the police team formed earlier arrested three gang members Fauji Nath alias Chimti Nath, Vicky and Kanta. Gold jewelery worth Rs 12 lakh was recovered from the possession of the accused.

Dehradun SSP Dalip Singh Kunwar has told that the accused Fauji, Vicky and Kanta are residents of Ghosipura Police Station Pathri, Sapera Basti located in Haridwar. The accused used to roam in the streets and neighborhoods of Uttarakhand including Dehradun, Haridwar, Kotdwar, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana etc. to sell lemon chillies and ask for Shani Daan.

After doing Reiki, after sharing the information with his gang, under a certain plan, he used to steal jewelery and cash by breaking open the locks of identified places and houses at night. The accused had carried out theft incidents in many states. In which he has also eaten the air of jail many times. Did not use mobile phone at the time of execution of the incident. Also, in the mobiles he used, he did not keep any one number for a long time.

Used to target these houses

At the same time, during Reiki, they used to make deserted places or houses adjacent to forests, drains, rivers as their target. During the incident, he used to park his bike far away from the place where the incident took place. So that no one can know about coming and going. The accused did not use the main roads to execute the incident. For this, they used the paths of forest and river drains.
