Flood situation in Delhi, CM Kejriwal said – no rain, more water is coming from Himachal

The water level of Yamuna is increasing continuously. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has blamed the Haryana government for this and has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Kejriwal has written in the letter that limited quantity of water should be released from Hathinikund to the Haryana government, so that the water level of Yamuna does not increase further. Kejriwal has said that the G20 summit is to be held in Delhi, so if Delhi floods, it will not send a good message to the world.

CM Kejriwal held an important meeting

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called an important meeting today to review the flood situation. After the meeting, Kejriwal said that it is not raining much in Delhi, but more water is coming here from Himachal, due to which flood situation has arisen.

Kejriwal chairs an emergency meeting at the Secretariat regarding the flood situation in Delhi. Ministers, mayors and officers of various departments were present in the meeting.

Flood situation worsens in Haryana as well, CM holds meeting

On the other hand, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also held a meeting with the district administration to review the situation arising due to the rains. Home Minister Anil Vij was also present in this meeting. After the meeting, CM Manohar Lal Khattar said that “till now around 10 people have died in the flood, but the number may increase, 2 are missing and many cattle have died…the loss will be assessed. Next of kin of the deceased An ex-gratia amount of Rs 4 lakh will be given…”

Yamuna’s water level is increasing continuously

Delhi minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the Yamuna’s level is now 207.37 meters and it is well above the danger mark. According to the estimates of the Central Water Commission, the level of Yamuna can reach 207.55 from 10 pm. That is, Yamuna can cross its embankments at some places in Delhi, so wherever there is such a danger, the Irrigation Control Department of the Delhi Government is working to strengthen the embankments.
