A girl died of snake bite on Tuesday evening in Hafizpur village of Chirayakot area of Mau. A 25-year-old woman was taking out clothes from a box kept in her house when a snake hiding inside the box attacked her. However, the girl did not know anything then.

After a long time, the family members were shocked to see the snake coming out of the house. By then the girl’s condition became critical. The relatives took the girl to Badhal Health Center adjacent to the district border. Seeing the serious condition of the girl, the doctors referred her. While returning from the health center, the girl had died late in the evening.

According to relatives, the girl was taken to Azamgarh’s Kharihani in the wake of exorcism. When things did not work out there, he was brought home late at night.
