Uttarakhand: CM Dhami reviewed disaster relief works in the disaster control room, gave instructions to ensure necessary arrangements for the affected

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the situation arising out of excessive rains in the state and the disaster relief and rescue operations with senior officials at the Disaster Management Control Room located at the Secretariat. The Chief Minister directed to keep a constant watch on the situation and provide immediate relief to the affected. He said that it should be ensured that the affected have full availability of food and other essential materials. Adequate availability of food packets should be maintained. Along with drinking water, adequate arrangement of milk should be kept for the children. If necessary, food items should also be sent by helicopter.
Drainage of water from waterlogged areas should be done immediately. All necessary arrangements should also be made to prevent water borne diseases. All concerned departments should assess the damage in the affected areas. The drinking water, electricity, roads and other arrangements which have been affected by the rains should be made smooth soon. All the departmental secretaries should see the arrangements related to their respective departments and be in constant touch with their district level officers. Apart from taking people from the affected areas to safer places, all necessary arrangements should be made for them. Also be in constant touch with the Irrigation Department of Uttar Pradesh.
