Uttarakhand: Haridwar- Rishikesh Ganga Corridor will be built soon, CM Dhami gave instructions to officials in the meeting

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took a meeting at the secretariat on Thursday regarding the development of new townships in various cities of the state. The Chief Minister instructed the officials that the work for construction of Haridwar-Rishikesh Ganga Corridor should be started soon. A proposal should also be brought in the cabinet soon for the company to be formed for its implementation. The Chief Minister said that it should be ensured that the entire work of the Haridwar-Rishikesh Ganga Corridor is completed by October 2026. During the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed the officials that work should be done expeditiously in the direction of developing 05 townships in the plain areas and 03 in the coastal areas in the state. Efforts being made in the direction of developing one hill station each in Garhwal and Kumaon regions should also be finalized soon.
Urban Development Minister Premchand Aggarwal, Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Sandhu, Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Anand Vardhan, Secretary R.K. Meenakshi Sundaram, Dilip Jawalkar, Vinay Shankar Pandey, SN Pandey, V. Shanmugam, Vice President MDDA Banshidhar Tiwari and concerned officers were present.
