Uttarakhand: Air Marshal, Ravi Gopal Krishna Kapoor met CM Dhami, discussed the construction of bridges

Air Marshal, Ravi Gopal Krishna Kapoor, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Air Command paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at Chief Minister’s residence on Friday. Air Marshal Ravi Gopal Krishna Kapoor from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the load capacity of the new bridges has been proposed to be at least 24 tonnes. With this, the movement of heavy vehicles of the Indian Air Force and the Army will be done easily. He requested that the load capacity should be kept up to 24 tonnes in the construction and upgradation of new bridges in the state.
It was discussed during the meeting that an MoU is proposed between Indian Air Force and Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam and Indian Air Force and Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam, under which officers and personnel of Indian Air Force will be given the facilities of GMVN and KMVN at the Central Government rates. Use will be allowed.
During this discussion was also held on issuing no-objection certificate from the state government soon for handing over Pithoragarh airfield ALG to the Indian Air Force. Along with this, a request was also made by the Air Marshal to allot 20 acres out of the total 25 acres of land for the Pithoragarh airfield by the state government.
The Air Marshal also discussed various proposals for developing infrastructure in the state for PM Gati Shakti Yojana. He said that work will be done in coordination with the state government under PM Gati Shakti.
