Uttarakhand: MLAs frozen in Dehradun should go to disaster affected areas and help, BJP state in-charge issued order

BJP’s state in-charge Dushyant Gautam has issued an order to all the MLAs of the party, who have been camping in Dehradun for the last several days, to go to their assembly and stand with the people affected by the disaster. In order to know the situation of disaster due to heavy rains in the state, in this virtual meeting of Gautam, the issue of collapse of Malan bridge of Kotdwar was also raised. The party in-charge summoned the details of the bridge from the PWD Minister Satpal Maharaj who attended the meeting. Maharaj told that orders have been issued to investigate this episode. Alternative arrangements for public transport are being made.

In the meeting held at the state party headquarters, Gautam told all the MLAs and workers of the party that the administration is working from its level to provide relief to the disaster affected people. We also have to meet the needs of the victims through voluntary organizations and help the agencies engaged in relief work. He took a series of information from the MLAs involved in the meeting about the damage caused by the disaster in their area and assured the government for their quick solution.

Party in-charge Dushyant Gautam said, MLAs and district presidents should prepare from now to deal with the future challenges of monsoon. BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt said that the party workers have been called upon to actively arrange food, water, milk and fruits for children, etc. for the passengers trapped in the disaster, besides the local people.

State General Secretary Organization Ajey Kumar, State General Secretary Aditya Kothari, Rajendra Bisht, Khilendra Chaudhary, MLA Munna Singh Chauhan, Savita Kapoor, Sahdev Pundir, Durgesh Lal, State Treasurer Puneet Mittal and many other officials were involved in the virtual meeting from the party headquarters.

15 MLAs of the party in Doon

Around 15 BJP MLAs are in Dehradun instead of their constituencies during monsoon. All these MLAs have gathered in Dehradun for the development works of their respective constituencies. All party MLAs and district presidents, including these MLAs, have been asked by the party in-charge to go to the districts and constituencies during the monsoon period.
