Alliance of 26 opposition parties got new name ‘INDIA’
The competition for the Lok Sabha elections to be held in the year 2024 has started. To counter the BJP-led ‘NDA’, the opposition has formed an alliance named ‘INDIA’. The alliance was named India in a meeting of 26 opposition parties held in Bengaluru. Its full form is ‘Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance’. At the same time, the BJP-led NDA meeting is also being held in Delhi, about two thousand kilometers away from Bengaluru. The participation of 38 parties has been claimed in this meeting. However, the BJP raised questions on the opposition and the Congress raised questions on the NDA meeting. In a tweet, BJP Karnataka termed the meeting as ‘opportunistic’. So the Congress said that efforts are being made to revive the NDA which has become a ‘ghost’. But the question arises whether the united opposition will be able to do anything amazing? It is said that 26 parties will participate in the meeting of the opposition. 15 parties participated in the meeting held in Patna on 23 June under the leadership of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. All these 15 parties are present this time also.
Apart from Congress, TMC, Aam Aadmi Party, CPI, CPI-M, RJD, JMM, NCP, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray), Samajwadi Party and JDU, DMK, KDMK, VCK, RSP, CPI-ML, Forward Bloc, IUML, Kerala Congress (Joseph) and Kerala Congress (Mani), Apna Dal (Kamerwadi) and Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK) are also included in this meeting.
At the same time, some new parties have joined the NDA. Chirag Paswan has joined the NDA on Monday itself. Omprakash Rajbhar’s Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) have also become part of the NDA.
BJP President JP Nadda has claimed the presence of 38 parties in the NDA meeting. Eknath Shinde faction’s Shiv Sena, Ajit Pawar’s NCP, Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal and Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena are also in this meeting.

Who has how much guts?
The answer to this is NDA only. The BJP-led NDA has more than 350 MPs in the Lok Sabha. Whereas, all the parties that have participated in the meeting of the opposition, they have only about 150 MPs.
However, if we look at the statistics, it is known that more than 50 percent of the parties that attended the meeting of the opposition do not have a single MP in the Lok Sabha. Whereas, 65 percent of the parties involved in the NDA meeting do not have a single seat in the Lok Sabha.
However, experts believe that there are many such parties in the NDA meeting, which have a good dominance over regional and a particular caste. These parties can prove to be an important factor in states like UP and Bihar. There are 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP and 40 in Bihar. That is, 22 percent of the Lok Sabha seats come from these two states.

At the same time, Congress claims that opposition unity will be a ‘game changer’ for Indian politics. The one who is not with anyone, will he become the kingmaker?
Parties like Biju Janata Dal of Odisha, YSR Congress of Andhra, Janata Dal (Secular) of Karnataka, BSP of UP, Akali Dal of Punjab, Telugu Desam Party of Telangana and BRS have not opened their cards.
These are the parties which have neither become a part of the grand alliance of the opposition nor have come with the BJP-led NDA.
However, except BRS, all other parties have extended support to BJP on the issue of inauguration of the new Parliament building. These parties have about fifty MPs in the Lok Sabha.
It is believed that these parties can open their cards after the elections. In such a situation, his role can be that of a kingmaker.
