Rain alert for next 5 days in Delhi, Dam broken in Uttarakhand; Flood threat in Laksar town, trains canceled in Shimla till August 6

The water level of Yamuna decreased further in Delhi on Tuesday. The water level was recorded at 205.46 meters at 3 pm.

On the other hand, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to the people to stay in the relief camp as the water level of Yamuna is constantly changing.

Updates related to flood in Delhi

▪️Route diversions were done in view of the Kanwar Yatra, which gave some relief to the people. Delhi-Meerut Road and Meerut Expressway were opened for light vehicles after Shivratri’s Jalabhishek.

▪️Medium, light vehicles will ply on ISBT Ring Road carriageway from Geeta Colony underpass via IP flyover from Sarai Kale Khan. Mukarba to Wazirabad Outer Ring Road carriageway has been opened for light vehicles and buses.

Heavy rains will occur in these states: Jammu-Kashmir Himachal, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, East Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Goa, Telangana, Odisha, Madhya Maharashtra, Karnataka.

Light rain will occur in these states: Light rain with lightning may occur over Bihar, West Bengal, Punjab, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry.

▪️The water level of Ganga is rising in Kanpur, UP. Due to security, the administration has put barricades on the main ghats.
