Uttarakhand: CM Dhami honored the farmers doing commendable work in the field of agriculture

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami felicitated farmers doing commendable work in the field of agriculture in a program organized at Naveen Mandi, Niranjanpur, Dehradun on Monday. The Chief Minister said that whatever suggestions have been received for the solution of various problems related to the mandi, proposals will be made after examining them. The Chief Minister said that the Dandeshwar temple on the Kuanwala-Doiwala road would be beautified. On this occasion, by planting trees, the Chief Minister also inspired people to plant trees.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while addressing thousands of farmers, said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India of the 21st century is working to give direction to the whole world. Work is being done with the spirit of everyone’s support, everyone’s development, everyone’s faith and everyone’s effort. Due to his inspiration, many researches are being done in the field of agriculture. ‘Vocal for Local’ is being promoted. In the state too, work is being done on ‘one district and two products’. Due to the efforts of Prime Minister Modi, this year is being celebrated as International Millet Year. Our food has got recognition at the global level. Many works are being done in the country in the field of innovation. People’s inclination towards self-employment has increased.

The Chief Minister said that India is presiding over the G-20 this year. Uttarakhand got the opportunity to organize three G-20 meetings. These meetings are being organized in more than 50 cities of the country. Through these meetings, the small towns of the country have got a new identity on the international stage at the international level. The Chief Minister said that the agriculture sector is like the back bone of the country. Our farmers play an important role in taking the country forward strongly. Many schemes are being run by the central and state government to empower the farmers.

The Chief Minister said that interest-free loans of up to Rs.3 lakh are being given to farmers and Rs.5 lakh to women self-help groups in the state. 80 percent subsidy is being given under Farm Missionary Bank. Work is being done on Apple, Kiwi, Bay leaf, Timur mission. To promote aroma farming, 06 Aroma Valleys are being developed. Aroma Park is being built in Kashipur. Cluster based farming is being promoted in the state. A target has been set to build 18 thousand polyhouses in 01 year. This will provide employment to one lakh people.
