In Dehradun’s Doiwala, a mad horse has injured many passers-by. Wherever people saw a mad horse, they started running here and there. It is being told that the mad horse has been caught and sent for treatment, after which people heaved a sigh of relief.
Doiwala SDM Shailendra Singh Negi said that information was received from Arya Nagar area under Doiwala municipality that a horse in a mad state was injuring passers-by. On information, instructions were given by the administration to the Municipal Executive Officer and Veterinary Officer to take necessary action immediately. The Deputy Collector said that the Veterinary Officer said that the Veterinary Department does not have enough equipment available to tranquilize the horse to control it.
In this regard, the Deputy District Magistrate Doiwala contacted the Divisional Forest Officer Dehradun, Director Malsi Deer Park and Dehradun Zoo Administration. Along with this, equipment and team were called from Malsi Deer Park by the Divisional Forest Officer Dehradun to tranquilize the horse. After which the team barely controlled the horse and sent it to the NGO-run center in Vikasnagar for treatment and care. On the other hand, the local councilor Balwinder Singh told that the horse had attacked an elderly person on the previous day and seeing the people, the horse was running after them and injuring them. After which its information was given to the concerned departmental officers.
