A newly married woman from capital Lucknow has accused her husband of dowry harassment including impotence. It is alleged that she begged the in-laws to save their marriage. Along with urging the husband to get a doctor examined. Her in-laws let her husband refuse to investigate. The victim has filed a case with the police. A newly married woman living in Krishna Nagar Kotwali area has accused her husband of dowry harassment including impotence. The newly married woman has filed a nominated case against her husband and in-laws.
According to Krishna Nagar Kotwali in-charge Vikram Singh, the newly married woman living in LDA Colony Kanpur Road located in Thana area told that she was married on January 30, 2023 in Pawan Puri Lucknow. Her father had spent a total of Rs 28 lakh in dowry to her in-laws along with Rs 15 lakh in cash, gifts and other items.
It is alleged that husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law and sister-in-law abused and mentally tortured the married woman since their farewell on January 31, 23. During this her husband and his family demanded additional dowry.
According to the victim, she tried to have physical relations with the husband. The husband talked about being unable to have a relationship. Also said that he is not able to make physical relation. He has impotence problem. After this, the victim gave this information to her family members. It is alleged that she begged the in-laws to save their marriage. Along with urging the husband to get a doctor examined. Her in-laws let her husband refuse to investigate.
It is alleged that after this the victim was sent to her father’s house and no one contacted her. Due to this, the victim has filed a nominated case against her husband and in-laws. According to the police, on the complaint of the victim, the matter is being investigated by registering a case under the Dowry Prohibition Act and the harassment section.
