Uttarakhand: Harda is looking for sympathy through Swabhiman Yatra – Manveer Chauhan

Taking a jibe at the visits of the Congress, the BJP said that through all the visits, senior Congress leader and former CM Harish Rawat is trying to get sympathy for himself, which is his unsuccessful attempt. State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan countering the allegations made by Rawat regarding disaster relief, said that the BJP government and the organization are providing all possible help by reaching out to the public in these adverse circumstances. He is senior and knows the adverse situation better, but instead of connecting the party people with the suffering of the common people, he is leading the yatras. He is also warning of a new movement in the disaster affected area.

He said that the disaster in the state is natural and is always being termed as man-made, which is ridiculous. There has also been a corruption disaster in the state and he is facing investigation in those cases, but for this also he is cursing the government. Troubled by the investigation, he is now pretending to put his point in front of the public in these visits. But remained silent for 8 years. The public is well aware of the events that took place during that period.

Chouhan said that at the time of disaster, work should not be done on partisan basis, but on humanitarian grounds. However, the same attitude of the Congress remained during the Corona period. People kept fighting with Corona and Congress kept fighting with the people by protesting. As a result, the public again taught a lesson to the Congress.

Congress leaders should remain in the role of allies. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself is leading the relief work by reaching ground zero in all the disaster affected areas including Haridwar. All MPs, MLAs and all public representatives and workers of the party are actively helping in the relief work in the affected areas. If the Congress party cannot forget its political disaster, then at least it should refrain from trying to mislead the public and the image of the state with its political statements and programmes.
