Uttarakhand: Dhami became emotional after meeting the families of the casualties in the Chamoli current accident, while consoling the CM assured all possible help

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the Chamoli accident. Wishing peace to the departed soul, the Chief Minister has expressed condolences to the bereaved family members. Also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Chamoli on Thursday. The Chief Minister looked very emotional after meeting the families of the casualties in the Chamoli accident. He consoled the bereaved family members and assured them of all possible help. At the Police Ground Gopeshwar, the Chief Minister paid tribute with tearful eyes while offering wreaths on the mortal remains of the three Home Guard jawans who were killed in the Chamoli accident.

The Chief Minister said that this is a very heart-wrenching incident. We will pray to God to place the casualties in this incident at his feet and give strength to their families to bear this sorrow. All arrangements related to compensation, treatment etc. have been made by the state government. The Chief Minister said that the cause of the accident would be thoroughly investigated and strict action would be taken against the culprits.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh met the families of the deceased one by one in the accident in Dhami Chamoli. He consoled everyone. The Chief Minister said that the state government is with them in this hour of grief, every possible help will be provided by the government. During this, Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj, Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, MLAs and officials were present.

16 died, three people of the same family lost their lives, there was chaos

After the STP accident in Chamoli town, mourning has spread in Harmani village of Chamoli district. Out of the 16 people who lost their lives due to electrocution, nine are from Harmani village alone. Apart from this, three people of the village have also been injured. Among the dead, three persons belong to the same family and this unfortunate family is that of Ganesh Lal, who was a watchman at STP. Ganesh had died in the night itself due to electrocution and on getting the information, when father Mahendra Lal and elder brother Suresh alias Deepu Kumar reached the spot in the morning, they too died due to electrocution. Since then Ganesh’s mother and younger brother Mahesh Lal are unconscious. Neither say anything nor do they have tears in their eyes. It appears as if staring at the sky.

Wednesday was unfortunate for Harmani village

Wednesday was an unfortunate day for Harmani village, located seven km from Chamoli town. The residents of the village would not have even guessed in the morning that death is already waiting for them at the STP where they are turning to get justice for the family of Ganesh Lal, who died due to electrocution. The villagers who reached STP along with Ganesh Lal’s father and brother were demanding to fill the Panchnama only after giving compensation to the relatives of the deceased.

Meanwhile, suddenly the current ran in the entire STP premises and in no time, Ganesh Lal’s father and brother along with six other villagers died on the spot. Whereas, three were badly burnt. Now there is no one left in Ganesh Lal’s family except the old mother and the middle brother. His father Mahendra Lal was a mason, while elder brother Suresh worked in a local showroom. Mahesh is unemployed. In other families of the village whose people were killed in the accident, in those houses too, the relatives are in bad condition by crying.

Leader of the opposition expressed condolences on the accident Haldwani

Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya has expressed condolences on the current accident in Chamoli district on Wednesday. Said that the number of injured is more. The state government should provide better medical treatment. Apart from this, the accident site is near the Alaknanda river. Therefore, a search operation should be carried out in the river area as well. Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said that in the past a watchman had died due to electrocution. Had the department and administration been alert in time, such a huge human loss would not have happened.
