Rishabh Pant can return to Team India with Test series against England in 2024

In the medical update released on Friday, the BCCI informed the fans that the rehab of Team India’s star wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant is progressing well and he has also started batting in the nets. Now the question is when will Pant return to Team India.

Meanwhile, Times of India has quoted a BCCI source as saying that the wicketkeeper can be seen in action on the 2024 tour of England. Pant played his last match in December 2022.

“Probably, a realistic target for Pant would be the five-Test home series against England in January-February next year,” a BCCI source told TOI.

Pant had to undergo ligament surgery after he damaged his right knee in a car accident in December last year. After recovering from surgery, Pant has also started doing light workouts in his regular gym. At the same time, the BCCI has confirmed that Pant has started batting in the nets and also light wicketkeeping.
