Representatives of 100 countries of the world will come to Uttarakhand, there will be an international discussion on disaster management in Dehradun

After the G-20, the sixth World Conference on Disaster Management will now be held in the country in November. Before this, pre-conference will be held in many states including Uttarakhand. The pre-conference will be held in Dehradun on August 4, preparations have started for it. International Disaster Society, State Disaster Management Authority and Uttarakhand Council of Science and Technology (UCOST) will jointly organize this conference from November 28 to December 1. UCOST Director General Dr. Durgesh Pant said that in the month of June, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had released the poster of this conference. Representatives, students, researchers from more than 100 countries of the world will participate in this. UCOST is the scientific and technical coordinator of the conference.

He informed that pre-conferences will be held in different states across the country, under which the first pre-conference will be held in Dehradun on August 4. After this there will be pre conferences in the states of North East. Dr. Pant told that the theme of this conference is Strengthening Climate Action and Disaster Resilience. The techniques being adopted in different states and countries will make disaster management easier in other countries as well.

Japanese technology will also be seen

Japan has done a lot of work in the field of disaster management. Their machines will also be displayed in this world conference. Invitations have been sent to all the countries for this. When the rivers change course due to various reasons, it also causes a lot of loss of life and property. This will also be discussed by experts in the conference.

Uttarakhand is a very sensitive state from the point of view of disasters. Experts from all over the world and people working in the field of disaster management in mountainous areas will participate in the 6th World Conference on Disaster Management.
