Uttarakhand CM Dhami met Union Home Minister Amit Shah, discussed on Uniform Civil Code!
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a courtesy call on Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday night during his stay in New Delhi. According to sources, apart from the political and contemporary issues of the state, there was an in-depth discussion between the two leaders on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
It is also discussed that the CM has sought guidance from Shah regarding the proposed cabinet expansion in the state. It is being told that apart from the CM, the chairperson and some members of the expert committee formed to prepare the draft of UCC in Uttarakhand also met Shah.
The meaning of this meeting is being understood that the Dhami government may take the next step soon in the direction of implementing UCC in Uttarakhand. Explain that the expert committee can submit the draft report to the government any day. The report was earlier expected to be submitted by June 30. Then it was believed that the government would get the report by July 15, but after the initial spurt, the report got stuck.
