After the arrest of the main accused in the Ankit murder case in Haldwani, the girlfriend made shocking revelations. He told that Ankit was not in a state of unconsciousness but was forcibly caught and bitten by a snake. Before Ankit was bitten by a snake, five people caught him by putting a blanket over him. Mahi has confessed all these things in the police interrogation. After interrogating Mahi, SSP Pankaj Bhatt said that on the day of the incident, Ankit reached Mahi’s house at Gorapadav at around 6 pm. Mahi, Deep Kandpal, snake charmer, servant, maid were already present here. He first made him drink beer. After drinking beer, Deep Kandpal threw a blanket over him and dropped it. After this two people climbed on top of Ankit. Two people held hands and one held feet. When Ankit started suffocating, he left his hands and feet. After this, the snake charmer brought a snake from another room and bit him on the leg. After waiting for half an hour, when there was movement in Ankit’s body, he again got bitten by a snake in the other leg. In this way Ankit died at home.
Mahi and Deep were rich
SSP Pankaj Bhatt told that Mahi was a property dealer and Deep Kandpal was his assistant. The love affair between the two was going on for eight years. Said that Mahi had to buy an old car in the year 2020. Mahi had met Ankit regarding this. Mahi, Deep Kandpal, the servant-maid neither withdrew money from the bank nor did they pay through UPI after the murder. During this, he paid in cash everywhere. Mahi told the police that she had taken the cash with her before running away from home. He paid for everything from taxis to hotels and food in cash.
Such an open secret
The police of the incident had put the numbers from Mahi to the servant under surveillance. Various calls were made from these numbers in 15 days, their details were extracted. Out of these numbers, suspicious numbers were put on surveillance. The police reached Bengal in the matter of one number. It was later learned that Deep had given a missed call to the wrong number. Although the numbers of the four accused were switched off. This is why it took so long to reveal. If police sources are to be believed, Deep Kandpal used to talk more on one number before the murder. It was Gurgaon’s number. The police suspected that after running away, Deep would contact this number again from another number. The police got success in this.

Nepal’s hotel registers and casinos searched
When Mahi was in Pilibhit, the police was six hours behind her. When the police reached the servant’s house, they came to know that these people had left six hours ago. The police felt that he might run away to Nepal. After this the register was checked at the Nepal border but the entry was not found. Thought the thieves must have entered Nepal by way, then a team reached Nepal. All the hotels were searched here but nothing was found.
Taxi was booked online
Mahi had already made a plan to escape from the police. SSP Pankaj Bhatt told that Mahi had already booked a taxi online. He called the taxi home. From here she, her maidservant, the maidservant’s two children, the snake charmer came out sitting together. He also made Deep Kandpal and the servant sit in the car from near Teenpani.

Snake was caught from the shop
The snake with which the snake charmer had bitten Ankit Chauhan was caught by the snake charmer from a shop on Rampur Road. The police have also seized the CCTV footage of the shop for investigation. SSP Pankaj Bhatt said that the snake charmer is seen coming from his scooty in the CCTV. He is seen holding the snake and carrying it in his bag.
The team is 80 km away from the fourth and fifth murderers
SSP Pankaj Bhatt told that now only maid Usha and her husband Ram Autar are to be arrested. Usha is originally from Bengal. She along with her husband and both children has left for Bihar by train from Bareilly. This has also been confirmed in the CCTV footage in Bareilly. A police team also went after them. According to the SSP, the maid and her husband are just 80 km away from the police. They will be arrested soon.
