Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami released the promo and poster of Uttarakhandi feature film Pahadi Ratna Sridev Suman in New Delhi on Tuesday. Remembering the great revolutionary Dev Suman on his death anniversary, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that people will experience Sridev Suman ji through this film based on the life and works of Sridev Suman. All the actors working for the production of this film will have an important role in it. The contribution made by Sridev Suman ji to the society will continue to inspire us all. He always raised his voice against injustice and launched mass movements against dictatorship. Suffered many inhuman tortures but did not deviate from the path of truth. The Chief Minister said that Sridev Suman was not only a people’s leader, but had an unwavering patriotism within him. He was a revolutionary, intellectual, creator, journalist and a visionary great man.
The Chief Minister said that when the movement against the British was going on in India, a movement was being run by the Tehri Prajamandal, which was headed by Sridev Suman. While fighting this battle, he protested many times in a peaceful manner, had to face a lot of harassment, many times even went on fast unto death. He actively participated in the Quit India movement and remained in jail for years, many inhuman atrocities were committed on him in jail. Despite this, Suman ji’s struggle continued, he started his historic fast on 3 May 1944 and he died on the evening of 25 July 1944. The martyrdom of Suman ji became a source of inspiration for the freedom fighters. By calling himself for the motherland, Sridev Suman ji lit the flame of revolution in the entire nation. Suman ji’s thoughts were as relevant at that time as they are even today. He will always live in our hearts as an inspiration.
Addressing the migrant residents of Uttarakhand on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the natural beauty of Uttarakhand has made filmmakers a center of attraction for Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand. Special incentives are being given to regional films for filming in the state. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the grand reconstruction work of Kedarpuri is going on. In Badrinath too, works are being done at a fast pace under the master plan. The number of devotees in Chardham Yatra is increasing every year. In the Kanwar Yatra also this year more than four crore devotees of Shiva came to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand and the Kanwar Yatra was completed successfully.
The Chief Minister said that in order to attract national and international investors to the state, it is proposed to organize “Global Investors Conference-2023” in Dehradun in December 2023. In this, the Prime Minister has been invited as the chief guest in the Uttarakhand Investors Conference. Every possible help is being given by the state government for investment for the investors in the state. In the field of agriculture and horticulture work is also going on fast in the state. The work on Apple, Kiwi, Bay leaf and Timur missions is progressing at a fast pace. Rapid work is also being done on the cultivation of medicinal plants, this will also be helpful in preventing migration from the hilly areas. Uttarakhand is the first state in the country, which has taken initiative towards implementing Uniform Civil Code. A strict anti-copying law has been implemented to ensure that recruitment examinations are conducted in the state with complete transparency.
