Bijnor police has arrested a woman and her two accomplices who were involved in illegal extortion by registering false cases. This woman, along with her accomplices, used to first write false FIRs against people and later used to make illegal recovery from them in the name of compromise. Not this, in the name of fake Aadhaar card, she used to give her name as Pooja Sharma. While the real name is Jamila Khatoon. The police have recovered the photocopy of the mobile phone, PAN card and Aadhaar card as well as a copy of the voter card from the accused woman.

According to the Bijnor police, on July 6, a complaint was given on behalf of Pooja Sharma, daughter of late Rajeev Sharma, resident of Mahavir Colony, Tilak Nagar, Delhi, at Police Station Kotwali Dehat. In this, the complainant woman said, I was married on 29 May 2023 with Ehtesham’s son Mohammad Farid, a resident of Akbarabad, Bijnor, and he has left me and gone somewhere. Now husband’s parents are torturing me.
On the basis of Tahrir, the police registered a case against the accused under sections 498 A, 323, 504, 506/3/4 of IPC. When the investigation of the case was thoroughly investigated, it came to light that the real name of Pooja Sharma, who filed the case, is Jamila Khatoon daughter Rajab Ali and she is a resident of Assam.
During investigation, PAN card, bank account and voter election card made in the name of Jamila Khatoon were also recovered from the women’s pass. The investigation also revealed the fact that Pooja Sharma alias Jamila Khatoon had registered two cases in Dehradun’s Patel Nagar police station using fake Aadhaar card. The first case was filed against Sonu Rajput alias Zaheer Ahmed and the second case against Naushad Qureshi’s son Zaheer Qureshi. In this he was supported by his companions Salman Amjad, Zaheer, Asif and Khalid. It was also revealed in the police investigation that Pooja Sharma alias Jamila Khatoon used to demand money illegally by forming a gang and threatening to send people to jail by implicating them in false cases.
How was it busted
On July 23, Amjad’s father Farid Ahmed, a resident of Akbarabad, lodged a case against Pooja Sharma and her associates in Kotwali Dehat police station area of Bijnor. The complainant had told the police that Pooja Sharma was threatening to implicate her in a false case of rape. On this basis, the police registered a case against Pooja Sharma and her accomplices under sections 389, 420, 468, 471 and 120B and after finding the allegations true in the investigation, arrested the accused woman Pooja Sharma alias Jamila Khatoon’s accomplice Zaheer and Asif. .
The police have also recovered a mobile phone, a photocopy of a PAN card, a photocopy of Aadhaar card and a photocopy of Pooja Sharma’s election card from the accused. While the search is on for his two other accomplices. According to the police, the accused woman has got such fake cases registered in many other places besides Dehradun. Other information is being gathered. At present, everyone has been arrested and sent to jail.
