Uttarakhand: Mahara folds hands on Garhwal statement, will fast for 1 day as atonement, appeals to the people of the state to listen to the complete statement
Congress state president Karan Mahara has apologized for the statement made regarding Garhwal. He said that because of his one word people’s attention was diverted from the main issue of Ankita murder case, for this he will fast for a day as an atonement. In a press conference held at Congress Bhawan on Friday, Mahara said that the woman leader of BJP, who remained silent on the Ankita murder case, is now distorting her statement. These BJP leaders should also give a statement on the statements made earlier by Tirath Singh Rawat, Trivendra Rawat, Banshidhar Bhagat and the allegations leveled against the former BJP General Secretary.
Mahara has appealed to the people to make up their mind by watching his full video, yet if anyone’s sentiments have been hurt, he apologizes for it. Mahara said that Ankita’s fight has been weakened by his just one word, so as an atonement, he will fast for a day soon. On the question of Congress officials making the video viral, Mahara said that one of the three friends who spread the lie of Muslim University in 2022, has made this video viral this time also. Had the party taken action against such people then, this situation would not have happened today.
