Uttarakhand: It will rain heavily in Uttarakhand till August 1! Meteorological Department issued an alert

Heavy rains are expected in all the districts of Uttarakhand from Saturday for the next three days. Heavy rains are expected especially in most areas of Chamoli, Bageshwar and Uttarkashi. That is, the beginning of August can also be accompanied by heavy rains. Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, said, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rains in many areas across the state for three days. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning that roads and highways may be blocked due to landslides in sensitive areas. After five years, on July 28, it rained 90 percent less than normal

After five years, Dehradun received much less rainfall than normal on July 28. Doon received only 2.2 mm of rain on Friday, which is about 90 per cent less than normal. Whereas five years ago in the year 2018, there was 89.9 mm of rain on this day, which is about 67 per cent more than normal. Whereas from the year 2019 to 2022, there has been less rain than this. The state also received 52 per cent less rainfall than normal on Friday. However, the state has received 39 per cent more rainfall than normal so far in the whole of July.

Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Centre, said, compared to previous years, there has been less rainfall in some districts in July this year. Although such a difference is often seen, but good rains are expected in August.

The least rain in the US city in a week

Udham Singh Nagar received the least rainfall last week. It received only 24.2 mm of rain from July 19 to 26, which is 66 per cent less than normal. While maximum rainfall has been received in Bageshwar. It received 256.7 mm of rain in a week, which is 324 percent more than normal. Doon received 140 mm of rain in a week, which is just five per cent more than normal.
