Blast In Pakistan: 35 killed, 200 injured in a massive explosion in Khyber, Pakistan
There was a huge explosion on Sunday in Bajaur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. 35 people died in this blast, while more than 200 people are reported to be injured.
According to local media, 35 people have died so far due to the blast. Now it is expected to increase even more.
Where did the blast happen?
According to the information received, the blast took place in a meeting of political workers of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F). However, so far no terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the blast.
According to district officials,A local JUI-F leader was also among those killed in the Bajaura blast. The JUI-F official has been identified as Ameer Ziaullah Jan of Tehsil Khar.
An official said those injured in the blast were being shifted to Timargara and Peshawar.
Area cordoned off
According to reports, the blast took place inside the venue. In such a situation, siege has been done in the area. However, the police have not yet ascertained what caused the blast.
Rescue 1122 spokesman Bilal Faizi said that so far about 50 injured people have been taken to the hospital. He feared that the number of injured could increase.
