Uttarakhand: 16 people died in Chamoli current accident, Magistrate investigation completed, CM Dhami said no one will be spared

In Uttarakhand’s Chamoli, on the banks of the Alaknanda River, the sewerage treatment plant (STP) of Namami Gange Office was electrocuted due to a fault in the earthing. 16 people had died in this accident on July 19. While 7 people were injured. 22 people were electrocuted in this accident. This information came to light in the magisterial inquiry report. Chamoli’s Additional District Magistrate Abhishek Tripathi has submitted his investigation report to the government on Saturday.
It has been told in the investigation report that the arrangement of STP plant was not according to the electricity standards. Two companies that maintain the STP have been held responsible for the incident. It has been recommended to blacklist these companies for violating safety norms. On the other hand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the report of magisterial inquiry has been received on the accident at STP plant in Chamoli. Action will be taken on the basis of this. The culprits will not be spared at all. FIR has been registered. Strict action is being taken while fixing the responsibility.
