Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal raised the issue of damage caused by the disaster in various areas of Uttarakhand in Parliament on Wednesday. He questioned how much compensation was given to the state for the relief and rescue work. During the Question Hour, MP Bansal raised a question regarding the disaster in different parts of the country. He asked the Union Minister that how much loss of life and property has happened in the country due to the disaster. What steps were taken by the government. He said that the state areas including Joshimath in Uttarakhand have been damaged due to heavy rains, heavy rains, water-logging, landslides.
In response to the question, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai informed that the central government has already released money to the state government under the disaster head. The committee of various departments is preparing the damage report after investigation. If any package is sought from the state government, then the government will consider it positively.
