Denial of insulting Quran does not limit freedom of expression: Denmark

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said on Thursday that forbidding the desecration of holy books like the Quran does not limit freedom of speech. Mette Frederiksen said this in an interview after the Holy Quran was disrespected in his country.

In the interview published on Thursday, she said that I do not think that freedom of expression will be limited by not burning other people’s books. The desecration of the Holy Quran continues in Denmark and on Thursday also an extremist person desecrated this holy book. Mette Frederiksen said that there are security threats and there is also a danger of being isolated internationally, especially as this issue has become problematic at the moment.

It may be noted that the desecration of the Holy Qur’an began on June 28 last when a 37-year-old Iraqi refugee in Sweden burnt the Holy Qur’an in the country’s capital and in this heinous act he had the full support of the Swedish police and his This heinous act was repeated almost three weeks later on July 20, and the next day, on July 21, an extremist desecrated the Holy Quran in front of the Iraqi Embassy in the Danish capital.

Similarly on 24th and 25th July also this diabolical act was repeated. On July 31, an Iraqi refugee desecrated the Holy Quran in front of the Swedish Parliament.

It is noteworthy that in response to the desecration of the Holy Qur’an, Sweden’s Foreign Ministry claimed in a statement on July 30 that it condemns all anti-Islamic actions and that disrespect of the Qur’an or other holy books was derogatory.
