Describing about ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, Rahul Gandhi said- ‘The wolf which turned out to be an ant has completely become’

On the second day of the debate on the no-confidence motion in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi started with his talk about the Bharat Jodo Yatra. During this, he used the words ‘wolf’ and ‘ant’ in his speech. Rahul Gandhi told that he runs 8 to 10 km daily for many years. They felt that they would easily complete the Bharat Jodo Yatra by walking. Rahul Gandhi told that ‘But when I started the journey, I had severe pain in my knees. When the pain arose, my ego was shattered that I could easily travel to India in pairs. He said that when there was severe pain in the knees, ‘the wolf that had turned out to be an ant’.

The letter from an 8-year-old girl inspired her to walk despite the pain

Rahul Gandhi further said that ‘I was walking in fear every day thinking whether I would be able to walk less? This fear was in my heart. Whenever this fear used to increase, some or the other power used to help me from somewhere. One day I could not bear the pain. Then an 8-year-old girl came to me and gave a letter, said I will come with you. He gave me the strength to walk. Later I got the strength to walk because of millions of people.

People used to ask the question why Bharat Joda Yatra?

I did a Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari in Kerala to Ladakh. Many people asked me questions as to why you are traveling. Initially the answer did not come out of my mouth. Because I myself did not know why I started the journey. I used to think that people would get a chance to understand. But then it started making sense. What is the thing that I loved, the thing that I faced criticism and abuses? Wanted to understand this.
