Uttarakhand: CM takes meeting of Housing and Urban Development Department, now maps of buildings will be approved in 15 days, Dhami also gave mantra to deal with jam

In the meeting of Housing and Urban Development Department, CM Dhami said that the procedures of single window system should be made practical and effective with simplification. It has also been asked to make an effective action plan to solve the problems of urban areas, so that the message of a clean and beautiful Devbhoomi goes not only in the country but throughout the world. The CM also instructed the Housing and Urban Development Department to pay attention to work in coordination. Along with this, instructions were also given to make arrangements for entrusting the Chief Development Officer with the responsibility of monitoring the works related to the municipal bodies in the districts.

During the review of the Housing and Urban Development Department, CM Dhami said that lakhs of tourists and devotees visit the state every year. In such a situation, keeping in mind the arrangements made for these tourists and devotees, the focus should be on the implementation of the schemes. Along with this, better efforts should be made to meet the goals of the short, medium and long term road map prepared by the department, so that the investment goals set in the sector can be met.
CM Dhami’s mantra to deal with jam
During the meeting, the CM said that during the holidays, traffic jams arise in the cities of Dehradun, Haridwar, Haldwani, Rudrapur and Nainital. In such a situation, special attention should be paid to the development of parking places in these areas to relieve the tourists from the jam. Apart from this, attention should also be given to private participation in the operation of shuttle vehicle service and development of parking places for these cities. Along with this, the challenges of the future can be faced only by planning for arrangements for electricity, drinking water and sanitation along with good roads in these cities.
The Housing Development Department kept this target of investment
At the same time, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan said that under the Housing Department, for the year 2023-24, a target has been set to invest Rs 8,793 crore and create 23.65 lakh jobs. Whereas for the year 2026-27, this target has been set to invest Rs 17,586 crore and create 47.30 lakh jobs.
