Chadha is alleged to have proposed the constitution of a select committee during the process of getting the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill passed in the Rajya Sabha. The names of four MPs.. Sasmit Patra, S Phangnon Konyak, M Thambidurai and Narhari Amin were included for this committee without their permission. Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar had on Wednesday, August 9, forwarded the complaints of these MPs to the Committee of Privileges, alleging that Chadha, in violation of rules, included their names in the House’s Select Committee without their consent. proposed.

A Rajya Sabha bulletin said the Chairman has received complaints from Upper House members Sasmit Patra, S Phangnon Konyak, M Thambidurai and Narhari Amin. All of them have accused Chadha of breach of privilege and in their complaint have referred to inclusion of their names without their consent in a resolution dated August 7, in violation of procedure and rules.
