Uttarakhand: Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Sandhu reviewed the Badrinath master plan and Kedarnath reconstruction works, gave necessary instructions to the officials
Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Sandhu reviewed the Badrinath Master Plan and Kedarnath reconstruction works on Thursday in his auditorium located at the Secretariat. The Chief Secretary discussed in detail about each work with the contractors working in Badrinath and Kedarnath along with the officials of the concerned departments. The Chief Secretary, setting the date for the completion of the works, gave instructions to complete the works within the time limit. He said that it is not easy to do the work due to bad geographical conditions and weather, but the work which can be done must be done. He said that whatever works have to be done inside the buildings which have been completed, they should be started on time. Due to extreme cold, the workers would be facing problems in working, for this arrangement of bonfire and heater should be ensured.
The Chief Secretary said that Chinook helicopter will also be available after the first week of September, for whatever heavy construction material is to be transported through Chinook, complete preparations should be ensured from now. He also directed to pay special attention to the quality of works. On this occasion, along with Secretary Sachin Kurve and Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, District Magistrates of Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts were present through video conferencing.
