Uttarakhand: Mahendra Bhatt claims: Congress is not getting candidate for Wageshwar, BJP candidate will nominate on August 16 with huge public support

The BJP will nominate the party candidate for the Bageshwar by-election on August 16 in the presence of the Chief Minister and the state president along with a large group of people. At present, the party has sent a panel of 3 names to the Central Parliamentary Board, after consideration of which the name of the party candidate will be approved soon. In an informal conversation with reporters at the party headquarters, BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt said that on Thursday the State Election Committee has sent three top names to the Central Parliamentary Board after deliberations. Probably soon the Party Parliamentary Board will announce the candidate after considering the names. He said, the organization has started preparations for the nomination of the candidate, according to which the nomination of the party candidate will be done on August 16 with a huge gathering. During this, a large number of party officials and workers will be present under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Bhatt said that the candidate will be decided according to the consent of the workers and public sentiments. Former cabinet minister late Chandan Ram Das has been working for the betterment of Bageshwar area till his life, so there is bound to be goodwill among the local public and workers towards his family. With the consent of the workers there, the party will nominate such a candidate who will come true to the sentiments of the people by completing the unfinished tasks of the late Das.
Responding to the question asked about the challenge of the Congress, he said that while doing positive politics, the BJP contests elections to win and the Congress to lose. We select party candidates as per pre-determined policy and Congress finds candidates within and outside its party. He sarcastically said that today Congress is not getting any candidate in its own party and information is coming through the media that those candidates are going to be imported from other parties. This difference of thinking between both the parties is going to make us win with record votes and Congress’s deposit is going to be forfeited once again.
Regarding the video released by the Congress State President regarding the roads, Bhatt said that in spite of the monsoon calamity in the better management of the Chief Minister Dhami, today the roads of the state are opened in just two hours. He taunted that the Congress should remember its era when the roads were closed for a month. Giving advice, he said, along with the road closure, he should also put a video of the opening of the road so that people coming from outside are not confused and the image of the state is not affected.
