RPF constable fired in Jaipur Express, four including ASI/RPF died

At 5.25 am on Monday morning, four people, including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI), were killed by a constable of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in the Jaipur-Mumbai Express (12956) by firing with an automatic rifle. Three passengers are also included in the dead. The incident is said to have happened in coach B-5 of the train near Palghar railway station. Most of the passengers were sleeping at the time of the incident.
GRP jawans have arrested the accused RPF constable Chetan Kumar Chaudhary. A rifle has also been seized from him. According to railway officials, ASI Tika Ram Meena was on escort duty. Accused constable Chetan Kumar Chowdhary was also on duty with him. After firing, the constable got down from the train near Dahisar station and ran away. He has been arrested by the Borivali police.
The Railway Police is probing the cause of the firing. The train was going from Jaipur to Mumbai. According to eyewitness passengers, the RPF jawan first shot his officer Tika Ram. After this, going to the second bogie, he suddenly opened fire on three passengers. Thieves have died. B5 coach and pantry area have been affected by the firing.
CPRO / Western Railway Sumit Thakur said that apart from investigating the cause of the firing, the passenger who died is being identified. This incident was sad and unexpected. Even before anyone could understand anything in this, the RPF jawan fired and ran away. The accused jawan has been arrested.
The reasons for firing by the RPF jawan have been investigated. It is being ascertained why the RPF jawan did such an act? Why did he shoot ASI Tika Ram Meena? What was the dispute between the two before? After all, what happened that suddenly the jawan started firing and directly targeted ASI Tika Ram Meena? If Jawan Chetan’s anger was about the ASI, then what were the reasons for shooting the three passengers? The whole incident is raising questions about the security system of RPF.
