Uttarakhand: Congress strongly sieges the government, Ankita gets her head shaved for justice

Congress has adopted an aggressive stance to provide justice to the victim in the Ankita Bhandari murder case. On Ankita murder case, inflation, unemployment, dengue and other issues, Congress marched to the CM residence with full force. During this, Mahila Morcha President Jyoti Rautela expressed her protest by shaving her head. And demanded the government to provide justice to Ankita soon.

Jyoti Rautela has demanded that the government should reveal the name of the VIP in the Ankit Bhandari murder case who was mentioned in the mobile chat. Also warned that if the government does not give justice to Ankita Bhandari in this case soon, then protests will be held at the district level also.

Earlier, Congressmen surrounded the CM residence on many issues including rising unemployment, inflation, dengue and getting justice for Ankita Bhandari. Congress people marched from Rajiv Bhawan on Rajpur Road to the Chief Minister’s residence. Where he was stopped by heavy police force in Hathibarkala. During this time, hundreds of leaders and workers who arrived sat on the road and started raising slogans against the government. Congress workers were arrested after the protest continued for a long time. The Congressmen were arrested and taken to the police line where they were released on personal bond.

Many leaders including State President Karan Mahara, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat, Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya, former State President Ganesh Godiyal were present in the protest program. Harish Rawat said that the unemployment rate is continuously increasing. The government is not paying any attention to it. The number of unemployed in the state has reached near 10 lakh. Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said that the situation of inflation is such that everyone from employees to the common man is worried. Whereas the government is not taking any concrete steps to reduce inflation. PCC Chief Karan Mahara said that dengue has taken the form of an epidemic in the state while the government is sleeping in Kumbhakarni slumber. Told that the number of dengue patients has crossed 1700 while the death toll is increasing day by day.
