11 abuses in one minute in Parliament! Abusing Danish Ali and CM Kejriwal… Know what action can be taken against Bidhuri?

BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri is in the news for his objectionable statements in the Lok Sabha. Actually, September 21 was the fourth day of the special session in the new Parliament. The topic of discussion in the Lok Sabha was the success of Chandrayaan-3 mission. The time was 10:52 pm. At that time, Congress MP from Kerala K Suresh was sitting on the Speaker’s seat. Then 57 year old South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri starts speaking on the success of Chandrayaan. Ramesh Bidhuri spoke on the success of Chandrayaan for 107 seconds, then Ramesh Bidhuri deviated from the orbit of decorum. He started using objectionable language in the temple of democracy. Let us tell you that Ramesh Bidhuri has abused 11 times continuously for one minute. However, after this incident the opposition is lashing out at BJP and Bidhuri.

The elected representatives of the people speak in the Lok Sabha of the country, there the people elected the MP by more than three and a half lakh votes and sent him to the Parliament, but he could neither maintain the dignity of the House nor that of the other members. During this time he did not even maintain the dignity of the women sitting in the House. Bidhuri used these abusive words against BSP MP Danish Ali. When there was an uproar from the opposition, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh stood up. He said that if the opposition has been hurt by the MP’s comments then I express my regret. Ramesh Bidhuri said that I have nothing to say, whatever happened inside the Parliament, I will not discuss it outside the Parliament.

Bidhuri also abused Kejriwal

When an MP approached Ramesh Bidhuri and asked him to speak a little on Duryodhana also. Shortly after this, Ramesh Bidhuri used derogatory words for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. However, that part has been removed from the proceedings of the House. That is, MP Ramesh Bidhuri first insulted the BSP MP in the Lok Sabha and abused him in the name of religion. Then, on instigation by another MP, he abused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Parliament did not consider both the shallow statements worthy of being kept on record and removed them.

PM Modi’s initiative was also tarnished

On the very first day of the inauguration of the new Parliament, even the Prime Minister said that if the building has changed, the sentiment should change. While addressing the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, the Prime Minister had said that I give assurance regarding the behavior of the MPs. But within three days, PM Modi’s initiative was tarnished by BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri.

Rajnath expressed regret over the uproar by the opposition

After this statement of Bidhuri, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed regret in the House. Meanwhile, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla reprimanded Ramesh Bidhuri and again warned of action against such behavior in the House. Whereas BJP issued show cause notice to Bidhuri. Also sought reply within 15 days. Whatever has been said by identifying an MP on the basis of his religion. After that Rahul Gandhi came to meet BSP MP Danish Ali.

Harshvardhan and Ravi Shankar gave clarification

When Bidhuri was using objectionable words in Parliament, why did the two former Union ministers Dr. Harsh Vardhan and Ravi Shankar Prasad sitting behind him not want to stop him? Danish Ali and many other opposition members raise questions that while Ramesh Bidhuri was abusing, both the former ministers kept laughing after listening to everything. However, Dr. Harsh Vardhan clarified that can I ever be a participant in the use of such derogatory language which hurts the sensitivities of any community. He also said that he was not able to hear anything in the noise. Ravi Shankar Prasad also wrote that I do not support any comment which is indecent.

BJP MPs also gave advice

Former Union Minister and MP Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi definitely wrote Kabir’s couplet and gave advice to Ramesh Bidhuri. He said, speak such words that you will lose your mind. Let the air cool down, let the air cool down. Then Union Minister Hardeep Puri assured action against Bidhuri on behalf of the party.

What action can be taken against Ramesh Bidhuri?

  • Under Article 105 (2) of the Constitution, no MP in India is answerable to any court for anything said in the Parliament. This means that nothing said in the House can be challenged in the court, but this does not mean that the MPs are free to say anything in the Parliament.
  • Whatever an MP says in the House is under the control of the Speaker under Rule 380 of the Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Lok Sabha. That is, if an MP uses unparliamentary language in Parliament, then only the Speaker has the right to take action on it.
  • Apart from Danish Ali, leaders of Congress, DMK, TMC have so far submitted complaints to the Speaker. The decision will be taken by the speaker and taken by BJP.
