Uttarakhand: Chauhan called Congress’s allegations baseless, said- Congress is considering investment as a challenge, the public is happy with the law and order
BJP has termed all Congress’s allegations as baseless and misleading and termed them as political frustration. State media in-charge Manveer Chauhan hit back and said that the government is making investment efforts to make the state a leading state and Congress is conspiring to stop investment by tarnishing the image of the state. Knowledge on investment and corruption from the mouth of those who snatched the special packages given earlier to the state does not suit. Answering the questions regarding the allegations of Congress State President Mahara, Chauhan said that during their tenure, the Congress governments spread the Ganga of corruption in the state and declared the pure Ganga as a canal. Their leaders, who were seen on camera giving license to loot the state’s resources, are still facing investigation in many cases. The CBI investigation process is going on in all the old cases of AIIMS that he is mentioning. As far as the question of the recruitment agency working there is concerned, the AIIMS administration must have given them the job after the tender process as per the rules. If any irregularity is noticed, appropriate action will be taken. But Congress should avoid tarnishing the image of a world famous health institution like AIIMS by making wild and baseless allegations based on hearsay information.
Expressing confidence, Chouhan said, the efforts being made by the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Dhami regarding capital investment, its results will prove to be equally excellent and will create a developed Uttarakhand. The manner in which proposals worth more than Rs. 32 thousand crores have been received in the initial phase of preparations for the Global Investor Summit is encouraging for the state. But it seems that the Congress party has become upset with the success achieved by the state and has remembered the zero investment period of its government. That is why instead of being happy, he is trying to create an atmosphere of despair in the state by making false allegations and negative predictions. He sarcastically said, Congress mentioned former CM late ND Tiwari, but it forgot to mention that the former PM Atal ji had given a special industrial package to the state in the Tiwari government by rising above the party spirit. Infuriated, the UPA government withdrew the package, which played an important role in the then industrial exodus.
Regarding the law and order issue, he retorted that perhaps the Congress leaders rarely come out of Uttarakhand and are turning a blind eye towards the law and order situation and jungle raj in the Congress ruled states of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand. The people of Uttarakhand are completely satisfied with the efforts of the Dhami government to curb crime and criminals. Congress is also well aware of this because the public has boycotted all such political programmes. He appealed to the Congress leaders to go among the people and contribute positively in the development of the state.
