Team India won gold in hockey, defeated previous Asiad champion Japan 5-1 in the final

The Indian hockey team has captured gold in the Asian Games 2023. Team India defeated last time Asia champion Japan 5-1 in the final. Earlier, India and Japan had clashed in the pool round also, in which India won 4-2. A very good game was seen from India in the final match. In front of India, the opposition Japan managed to score only one goal.

With this gold, the Indian hockey team has also qualified for the Olympic Games to be played in Paris in 2024. Talking about the match, both the teams could not score goals in the first quarter. Then in the second quarter, in the 25th minute of the match, the first goal of the match was scored by India. Mandeep Singh scored this goal to give India a 1-0 lead. In this way the Indian team took the lead in the half time of the match.

Then in the third quarter, at the 32nd minute of the match, Indian captain Harmanpreet Singh scored the second goal to give India a 2-0 lead. Before the end of the third quarter, Amit Rohidas scored the third goal for India. In this way, India had almost confirmed its victory by taking a 3-0 lead till the third quarter.

India scored 2 goals in the fourth quarter, Japan’s account is open

Just three minutes after the start of the fourth quarter, i.e. at the 48th minute, Abhishek scored the fourth goal for India. With this goal India took a 4-0 lead. Just three minutes later, i.e. on the 51st minute, Japan opened its account and the team’s first goal came. Then 1 minute before the end of the match, the fifth goal was scored by India. On the 59th minute, captain Harmanpreet Singh scored the fifth goal for the team and gave India a 5-1 victory against Japan.
