Election dates announced in five states of India, results will be revealed on this day
Assembly elections are to be held in five states of India by the end of the year, the date of which has been announced today. Elections for 679 seats in five states will be held between November and December.
Election date in five states
- Elections will be held in Mizoram on 7 November
- 7 and 17 November in Chhattisgarh
- November 17 in Madhya Pradesh
- 23 November in Rajasthan
- November 30 in Telangana
Counting of votes in five states
Counting of votes in all five states will take place on December 3.
8.2 crore male and 7.8 crore female voters
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that at present there are 8.52 lakh voters in Mizoram, 2.03 crore in Chhattisgarh, 5.6 crore in Madhya Pradesh, 5.2 crore in Rajasthan and 3.17 crore in Telangana. If all these are combined, there are a total of 8.2 crore male and 7.8 crore female voters.
Disabled people will get facilities
Announcing the dates of the upcoming assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said, “…the total number of PwD voters is 17.34 lakh, if they If people cannot come to the polling station to vote, they will get the facility to vote from their home also…”
