Demand of Waqf Board Chairman of Uttarakhand – All Madrasas of the state should be brought under Waqf Board.

After continuous complaints about Madrassas in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken strict action and directed the District Magistrates to verify all the Madrassas in the state. Also asked to take strict action if unethical work is found during verification. On the other hand, the Waqf Board says that all the madrassas of Uttarakhand should come under the Waqf Board.

Dhami government of Uttarakhand is in action after complaints coming from madrassas. Yesterday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has ordered investigation of all the madrasas running in Uttarakhand. Whereas in the midst of all this, the statement of the Waqf Board has surprised. Uttarakhand Waqf Board Chairman Shadab Shams says that Chief Minister Dhami’s action is welcome. All madrassas must be verified. In the statement, he has further demanded from the government to bring all the madrassas under the Waqf Board.

Demand for investigation of Madrassa Board’s assets

Shadab Shams described the incident in Nainital as condemnable and said that he will write a letter to the Chief Minister today and demand from the Chief Minister that whatever property the Madrasa Board has acquired through donations or the children who are being taught through donations, should be investigated. Yes, that property should also be brought under the Waqf Board.

Demand to register private madrassas in Waqf Board

Waqf Board Chairman Shadab Shams said that such property which has been acquired more than half through donations, should be brought under the Waqf Board. Making serious allegations against the Madrasa Board, Shams said that the registration of the new Madrasas that have been built recently is being done in his personal name. Whereas the money received from donations should be brought under the Waqf Board. He alleged that Madrasa Board has become only a source of earning. The Waqf Board has demanded from the government that all the private madrassas running in the state. All of them should be registered in the Waqf Board.
