Uttarakhand: Health Secretary inspected the hospitals of Bageshwar, gave instructions to speed up the incomplete construction works.

Uttarakhand Health Secretary R. Rajesh Kumar along with MLA Suresh Gadhiya, District Magistrate Anuradha Pal inspected CHC Kanda, District Hospital and CHC Baijnath on Tuesday. During the inspection, he instructed the Chief Medical Superintendent to speed up the work of the Critical Care Center under construction in the District Hospital and prepare a proposal for the construction of additional rooms on the vacant land near the Dialysis Center. Also gave instructions to speed up the construction work being done in the district hospital.

To prevent dengue disease, the Health Secretary directed to maintain proper arrangements including mosquito nets in the dengue ward of the hospital. Asked to make proper arrangements for drainage, cleanliness and spraying of medicines in the hospital. He inquired about the emergency, dental department, ENT, paediatrics department, pathology lab, women’s ward and various types of arrangements related to delivery and the condition of the patients admitted in the hospital.

Along with talking to the patients admitted in the hospital, Rajesh Kumar also took information about the various facilities being provided to them from the hospital. During this, instructions were given to the health department officials for better treatment to every patient in the hospitals. He said that proposals for the equipment required should be made and sent immediately. Arrangements should be made for training of doctors for the state-of-the-art Operation Theater (OT) being built in the district hospital. He also assured the deployment of specialist doctors soon.

The Health Secretary interacted with the local public and gave information about various schemes and facilities run by the Central and State Governments in the field of health. Also took feedback of the schemes from them. During this, the people of Kanda area presented the demand of opening a nursing training center in front of the Health Secretary. The Health Secretary visited the wellness centers and inspected the infrastructure, necessary medical equipment, medicines and the condition of the personnel working in various cadres. Departmental officials along with the Health Secretary motivated the common people to make Ayushman Card and Abha ID. Also informed about the efforts made so far by the state government towards TB-free Uttarakhand.
