North East Express crashes in Bihar, four killed, 100 injured

A major train accident has occurred in Bihar. North East Express going from New Delhi to Kamakhya derailed near Raghunathpur station in Buxar, Bihar. Four people have died in this accident. Around 100 passengers are said to be injured.

Six coaches derailed
According to the information received, train number 12506 North East Express goes from Delhi’s Anand Vihar railway station to Kamakhya. It reached Buxar after crossing seven stations. This train derailed near Raghunathpur railway station around 10.45 pm. It is being told that six coaches of the train derailed. After this there was screaming from the passengers.

Four people died
As soon as the news of the accident was received, relief and rescue operations were started. On the spot, NDRF, SDRF, railway rescue team and local police conducted a large-scale rescue operation. Relief work continued till late night. Four people died in the accident. There is news of 100 people being injured. The injured were admitted to different hospitals. The condition of 20 injured is said to be serious.

Railway Minister expressed grief
After the accident, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has expressed grief over the accident. He has said that relief and rescue work has been completed. Now track repair work is being done. The track will be repaired soon.
