Rajasthan: Inspector took home the liquor found in the raid, earlier got respect, now suspended

The exploits of an inspector have come to light in Pali district of Rajasthan. The Inspector raided and seized a huge consignment of illegal liquor, but showed only a small part of it as recovered and took the rest to his home. Upon receiving the information, senior officials raided his residence and seized the entire consignment. In this case, the IG has suspended the Inspector and ordered to register a case against him and arrest him. The matter is of Sumerpur police station of the district.

According to the information, Sumerpur police station in-charge Inspector Prakash Kumar was recently honored by the SP for his commendable work. After receiving this honour, he became unbridled. It is being told that recently they had seized a huge consignment of illegal liquor in a raid, but only a small part of this consignment was shown recovered in the police station. He had delivered the entire remaining consignment to his home. The IG got this information. IG sent a team and raided the inspector’s residence. After the entire material was recovered, he was suspended.

According to the police, on Thursday the IG team raided the official quarter of Sub Inspector Prakash Kumar Jinagar of Sumerpur police station. Four days before this, on the night of 8 October, Prakash Kumar, while being Sumerpur SHO, had caught a tanker going to Gujarat. DST team was also along in this raid. There were 700 cartons of illicit liquor in the tanker, Sumerpur SHO seized the entire goods, but showed only 646 cartons in the FIR and sent the remaining goods to his home.

When the team formed by the IG raided his residence, 12 cartons of liquor were recovered from there. During interrogation, he told that the remaining goods were distributed among other policemen. After the revelation, IG Range Poly Raghavendra Suhas has suspended Prakash Jinagar. On his orders, the team of Sirohi’s Shivganj CO Vivek Singh and Shivganj police station in-charge Achaldan Ratnu have taken him into custody and registered a case.
