Uttarakhand: CM Dhami reviewed the action being taken against safari in Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve and encroachment in forest land.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday took a safari in Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve and also interacted with tourists. The Chief Minister also discussed with the patrolling forest personnel and encouraged them. He fed jaggery and gram to the elephants. The Chief Minister said that Corbett is world famous as a thrilling jungle safari destination for wildlife lovers.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister took information about the administrative arrangements of Corbett Tiger from Dr. Dheeraj Pandey, Director of Corbett Tiger Reserve. He directed to start community employment for the people of villages adjacent to Corbett and promote the local products manufactured by them. On this occasion, he also reviewed the action being taken against encroachment in forest land. He said that there is a need to provide facilities to tourists as well as management in Corbett, which will increase the number of tourists and will also strengthen the economy of the state along with the businessmen doing business in Corbett.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the first Prime Minister of India who visited the border areas Adi Kailash, Parvati Kund, Jageshwar Dham. Under his leadership, all-round development of Baba Kedarnath Dham has taken place. With the development of Kedardham, the number of tourists is increasing rapidly. The inclusion of the mythological temples of Kumaon in the Mandir Mala Mission under Manas Khand will give a new place to the tourism business in Kumaon. He said that road, rail and air connectivity is expanding rapidly in the state. The reconstruction work of Kedarnath Dham and the master plan of Badrinath Dham are going on at a fast pace.

The Chief Minister said that the mythological temples and religious places of Kumaon are being linked to the Manas Khand Mandir Mala Mission. The development of mythological temples under Manas Khand will provide modern facilities to the tourists, while the increase in the number of tourists will strengthen the economy of the state and will provide employment to the local people. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of schemes worth Rs 4200 crore of the state during his visit to Pithoragarh. He said that a medical college is being built in Pithoragarh and the construction work of Pithoragarh to Tanakpur all-weather road is in progress.
