Deputy District Magistrate took a meeting
After the protest by the local people, a meeting between the Tourism Department and the local people was held in the Deputy District Magistrate’s office on Wednesday. In the meeting, the entry of local people was discussed and it was decided that after talking to the higher officials, local people will be given free entry for commuting.
Allowed to go free
The people present in the meeting said that people having shops and residence in George Everest should be allowed to go free of cost. Along with this, these arrangements should also be made for the local people. On the spot, Deputy District Officer Nandan Kumar said that residents and businessmen of George Everest Mussoorie will be allowed to go free of cost.
Tourism has immense potential: Nautiyal
District Tourism Officer Sushil Nautiyal said that local people will be allowed to go free of cost. Along with this, its proposal has been passed by the cabinet. The Tourism Department has given its land on lease for 15 years. He said that there is immense potential for tourism here. Local people will also benefit from this
