The matter is of Neebi village of Jhunsi, Prayagraj. After the death of the laborer’s wife, there was no money to decorate the bier. Nor four shoulders. Police and passers-by helped the husband and father of a woman carrying her body after tying it in a bamboo cloth at Jhunsi across Ganga in Prayagraj. Jhunsi police station in-charge Upendra Pratap Singh said that people of Musahar caste in Neebi village earn their living by selling leaves. Nakhru’s wife Anita (26), from the same community, was ill for a long time. He died on Friday. He told that the family of the deceased did not have money to transport the body by vehicle. Therefore, they neither called any ambulance nor any vehicle carrying the dead body.
Since the ghat was close, husband Nakhru and father manager were carrying the dead body by tying a sheet in bamboo. When the passers-by saw this, they informed the police.
