Maharashtra / Palghar: Husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law will be responsible for my death, married woman hanged herself after writing the story on her palm

A sensational incident has come to light in Palghar district of Maharashtra. On Friday, a 24-year-old married woman, fed up with the harassment from her in-laws, committed suicide. This incident took place in Nilemore village of Nalasopara police station area. Where the woman has also written a suicide note on her palm before committing suicide. It was written on her palm that I was committing suicide because of the harassment and humiliation of my in-laws. My husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law will be responsible for my death. On the complaint of the deceased’s father, the police have registered a case under various sections against four people including her husband. Police took action on this case and arrested the accused husband and father-in-law.

Was being harassed in in-laws house after marriage

According to the information, the name of the deceased woman is Sangeeta Kanojia. His age was 24 years. Her in-laws were harassing her for a long time. For this reason he committed suicide by hanging himself. When Sangeeta’s father Munni Lal Rajnarayan Kanojia (60) came to know about this, he immediately reached Nalasopara. He lodged a complaint at the police station. Here, before dying, Sangeeta had written the reason for suicide on her palm. The deceased’s father Munnilal Kanojia told that in the year 2022, Sangeeta was married to Nitesh Kumar Kanojia, resident of Nalasopara.

Suicide due to dowry

In the complaint lodged with the police, she said that she had given as much dowry as she could in her daughter’s marriage, but after the marriage, she faced physical and mental torture from Nitish Kumar Kanojia, mother-in-law, Asha Kanojia, father-in-law, Shiv Sevak and sister-in-law, Mala Kanojia. Used to torture. His daughter was not even given proper food. Fed up with this, daughter Sangeeta Kanojia has taken this step. After the father’s complaint, the police registered a case and arrested the husband and father-in-law. The police have also started further action against the accused in this entire case.
