If not, then let us tell you how in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh, buffaloes saved the life of their owner, an elderly shepherd, by fighting with a ferocious wild bear. Actually, Ram Prasad Rawat, a resident of Rizetha village of the district, was attacked by a female bear. But his buffaloes grazing nearby retaliated and chased away the bear and old Ramprasad’s life was saved. The shepherd injured in the bear attack has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
The matter pertains to the fields adjacent to the forest of Ochapura police station area of Sheopur district on Tuesday morning. Where, as usual, Ram Prasad Rawat went out of the forest to graze his buffaloes. Meanwhile, the elderly shepherd was attacked by a female bear. He also had two children with the bear. The wild animal injured the legs and body of the elderly shepherd with its nails and chewed his thigh with its jaws. Meanwhile, when the buffaloes of the shepherd grazing there saw that the owner’s life was in danger, the buffaloes fought with the bear to save him and they chased the bear away.
The elderly shepherd who was injured in the attack walked in the forest for some time with the help of a stick. After that he became unconscious. The passers-by took him to the district hospital for treatment. At present the condition of the elderly is out of danger. Injured shepherd Ram Prasad Rawat says that the bear attacked. But the 20 buffaloes present with me chased away the bear and my life was saved. My family members also informed the forest post. But the forest department has not yet taken care of me.
