Rahul Gandhi said – ‘Sharad Pawar is not the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi is’, accused Adani Group of embezzlement worth Rs 32 thousand crores

After the Financial Times report regarding coal prices came out, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has fiercely targeted the Modi government. In a press conference on Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi said that businessman Gautam Adani has increased the price of electricity by showing wrong prices of coal and falsifying bills. He further said that Adani has directly taken Rs 12 thousand crores from your (public) pockets.

During the press conference itself, Rahul Gandhi was asked why he did not ask this question to Sharad Pawar, even though he had met Adani despite opposition from the INDIA alliance. On this question, Rahul said that he has not asked any question to Sharad Pawar till now. The reason behind this is that Sharad Pawar is not the Prime Minister. Let us tell you that in the report of Financial Times it has been claimed that Adani’s company purchased coal at a low price and quoted its price as high.

Question on PM’s credibility: Rahul

Rahul Gandhi further said, ‘Sharad Pawar is not the Prime Minister. Sharad Pawar is not saving Adani. He (Adani) is being saved by PM Modi. That’s why I am asking questions not to Sharad Pawar but to Prime Minister Modi. If Sharad Pawar becomes the Prime Minister and tries to save Adani, I will ask him the same question. He said that the credibility of the Prime Minister is being questioned.

‘PM is protecting Adani’

In the press conference, the Congress leader said that when poor people run a fan or light a bulb, the money goes directly into Adani’s pocket. He further said that Adani is being protected by the Prime Minister of India. As soon as people press any switch, their money goes directly into Adani’s pocket. He said that Gautam Adani is over-invoicing in the purchase and sale of coal.

Rahul said- this is a case of electricity theft

Citing the report of foreign newspaper Financial Times, Rahul Gandhi said that this is a direct case of electricity theft. He asked what is the matter with Adani that the Indian government cannot conduct any investigation on him. Can’t ask any questions. He further said that the whole country knows what power is behind this.

The meeting created a political stir in Maharashtra

In fact, the meeting of NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and industrialist Gautam Adani had created a political stir from Maharashtra to Delhi. This meeting between Sharad Pawar and Adani took place in Ahmedabad, regarding which BJP had raised questions on the Congress and India alliance. Along with this, Rahul Gandhi was also cornered, because he keeps accusing BJP of being close to Adani.

Jayant Patil had given clarification on the meeting

Later, when the question was raised why Sharad Pawar was meeting Adani again and again. So NCP MLA Jayant Patil had replied on this. On the meeting, Jayant Patil had said that all discussions of Bharat Alliance are done by all the leaders, where Sharad Pawar is also present. As far as the inauguration is concerned, Sharad Pawar knows him (Gautam Adani), and he (Adani) had invited him. This was the inauguration of a new investment. There is no need for objection in this.
