British PM Rishi Sunak will reach Israel on Thursday amid the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas. Rishi Sunak will meet PM Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog in Israel. British PM said – this is an important time
According to the British Prime Minister’s Office, Rishi Sunak will meet Benjamin Netanyahu to show support and express his condolences to those killed in Hamas attacks in Gaza and Israel. Before visiting Israel, the British PM said in a statement that ‘the death of every citizen is a tragedy. The loss of many lives in the terrorist attack by Hamas is terrible. Last Tuesday, more than 500 Palestinian civilians were killed in an attack on a hospital in Gaza. Regarding this, Rishi Sunak said that ‘This is an important time in which the leaders of this region and the world need to come together and try to ensure that this conflict does not escalate further.’ The British PM assured that when there are efforts for reconciliation, Britain will be at the forefront of this initiative.

Last week the British Foreign Minister also visited Israel
Seven British citizens were also among those killed in the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7. Nine British citizens are still missing. It is believed that the missing people are in the custody of Hamas. Before British PM Rishi Sunak’s visit to Israel, British Foreign Minister James Cleverley also visited Israel last week. Apart from Israel, Cleverly also visited Egypt, Turkey and Qatar. During this, a peaceful solution to the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas was discussed. The British government said that these three countries are very important in resolving this dispute. Besides, these three countries will also prove to be important in solving the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and in rescuing the kidnapped people.
